1st Annual Swizzle Inn Footy Trivia

Swizzle In is having a first ever football quiz night at Swizzle Inn Baileys Bay on Feb 15th (Wed). It will follow the regular quiz night format of 6 rounds of 10 questions and the rounds will be FA, CL, Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. Mike Bishop will host as usual.

On the evening we will have a very special guest, Chelsea legend Ron “Chopper” Harris.

We are raising monies from the night for charity “Soccer and Friends Ltd” Their mission is to take at risk boys away to soccer camp in Maryland and mentor them and expose them to life outside Bermuda and our gangs.

We will be offering dinner specials of Fish ‘n CHips, Curry or Shepherd’s Pie with a pint for $20

There will be prizes,, and of course the trophy for the winning team!

Winter Hours and Closing dates

Over the winter months we have decided to scale back service hours of the kitchens at BOTH SWIZZLES…….so as of Monday January 9th..

Monday thru Friday KITCHEN OPENS at NOON and Monday thru Thursday KITCHEN CLOSES at 9pm

Weekend and Bar hours remain unchanged..call 293-1854 with any questions.

In order to spruce things up a bit..we’ll be having a short closing period at each place….take note of the dates below:

Swizzle BAILEYS BAY will be CLOSED fro our spruce up from MONDAY Jan 30th and RE-OPENING on FRIDAY February 3rd..5 pm..just in time for HAPPY HOURS!!

Swizzle SOUTH SHORE will be CLOSED fro our spruce up from MONDAY February 6th and RE-OPENING on FRIDAY February 10th..5 pm..just in time for HAPPY HOURS!!

We apologise in advance for any disappointment and inconveniences the closing dates may cause…..but its gotta be done!

Remembering Richard

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss our dear friend Richard Pedro. Richard was a part of the Swizzle Family for donkeys years. He was personal friends of Johnny and Jackie and spent many a Christmas morning sipping eggnog at their home. He will be greatly missed by those of us that had the pleasure of getting to know him, stopping in on his way home, or bringing his wife Donna by for an evening meal, or the whole family when they were home visiting. He was a proud husband and father. We loved talking football with him and enjoyed ribbing each other when our repsective teams won or lost. We send heartfelt sympathies to Donna, his children, brothers and sisters and all of Richard Pedros family. Richard was a very special man to many people…we’ll miss you.

Season’s Greeting one and all…..We hope whatever holiday you celebrate is filled with laughter, love , joy…and well why not…a glass of swizzle! Both Swizzles will be OPEN Christmas Eve until 8pm…..Both Swizzles will be CLOSED Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Both Swizzles will be OPEN Tuesday Dec. 27th from 11am. Both Swizzles will be open until 10 PM New Year’s Eve, and OPEN all day New Years’s Day serving our famous hangover breakfasts (or not hungover for the lucky ones!)

The Swizzle Family wishes you and yours a safe Holiday Season….(remember please don’t drink and drive, have a designated driver,ride the bus or take a taxi… )

Yes….Pink! That’s the theme for this years Rugby Bash. Tuesday Nov 8th…8PM …We’ll have the tent in the car park..Black Seal Bar outside..Ray playing inside and well…general mayhem everywhere! Parties of this nature in the past dictate the same outrageous fun is to be expected this year. Here is where the PINK comes in…. The Canadian Classics are the hosts for the evening, and their fondness for a nice rack has encouraged them to request a donation at the door for Bermuda’s Breast Cancer research. A party not to be missed indeed.

November brings the Happiest of Happy Hours…how does 4 bucks sound?

We think it sounds pretty good..the 4 bucks….sooo heres the lowdown…

For the entire month of November our Happpy Hours have expanded..in a couple of ways…

one way being that it is no longer just the bar..for happy hours…any table..inside… outside…upstairs or down will receive happy hour prices..The bigger..better…more important way our happy hours have changed is this… Everything (except swizzles, bottles of wine and frozen drinks) will be $4.00! That’s right-Chivas, Grey Goose, 16oz pints, Cosmos, Martinis and liqueuers all $4.00 a pop! Yessirreeee FOUR BUCKS..that is $4…four smackers…or really…in plain english it is money well spent!!

2nd Annual Pumpking Carving Contest

Its that time of year again…Ghouls, Goblins and Pumpkin Carving! Join us on Wednesday, October 26th 6:30-9:30 pm. We provide pumpkins and carving kits. Prizes for Funniest, Scariest and most Original. We like to keep the handywork to decorate the place, but if you want to take yours home there is a $10 fee. This years MC…the one and only Dicky King!!You must make a reservation to participate. To avoid disappointment, please reserve no later than Tues October 25th. Call 293-1854

So its is finally here…our fantastic Oktoberfest celebration. Awesomely delicious authentic German dishes of Schnitzel, Sausages,Dumplings Sauerbraten and Strudel prepared by guest chef Edi Guntl…Schnapps, Lagers, wheat and dark Bavarian brews and Jager shots on the drinking end of things make this an event not to be missed! All the Oktoberfest items are available at Swizzle BAILEYS BAY Thursday September 29th- thru Saturday October 1st…
